Once I had gotten a tast of the exhileration that comes from successfully recovering your rocket after offering it up to air and gravity, I went right out and bought another PML kit - this time the Callisto. I did buy an extra coupler tube and some extra Quantum tube to make an electronics bay and lengthen the rocket just so I could say I modified it a little. This time I got a fairly decent Krylon Yellow paint job on my new rocket and headed out to the desert for the October 2000 ROC launch. I honestly don't remember if this was an LTR Octoberfest or not. Either way I had a great time. Not long after, I bought a LOC Magnum kit and set about building it with my Level 2 certification in mind. |
